Who we are

WaterQuotes ("we") operates waterquotes.co.za, a comparison and matching platform that connects people requesting water installation quotes with independent, vetted installation companies. We are not an installation contractor.

What we collect

When you request quotes we collect the details you provide: the service you need, property type, suburb, project timing, your name, mobile number, optional email address, your contact preferences, and your consent choices. We also record technical information needed to operate and secure the service, and marketing attribution parameters (such as which advertisement brought you here). Our analytics does not store your name, phone number or email.

How we use your information

We use your request details to match you with up to three relevant vetted installation partners serving your area, to operate and improve the service, to verify request quality, and to respond to your enquiries. With your explicit consent, we share your request details and contact information with a maximum of three installation partners so that they can contact you about quotes. We do not sell your information, and your details are never shared with more than three partners per request.

Installer obligations

Installation partners receiving your request may use your details only to contact you about your quote request. They may not use your details for unrelated marketing.

Marketing communications

Marketing from WaterQuotes is separate and optional. You will only receive it if you ticked the optional marketing box, and you can opt out at any time.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and may withdraw consent, by contacting us via the contact page (select "Privacy or information request"). We will confirm receipt and respond within a reasonable time as required by applicable law, including the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Retention and security

We retain request records only as long as needed for the purposes above and our legal obligations, and we apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal information.
